Welcome to Stord island
in Vestland county, Norway. Located in the traditional district of Sunnhordland, the island is divided between Stord Municipality (southern part) and Fitjar Municipality (northern part). The largest settlements on the island are the town of Leirvik and the villages of Sagvåg and Fitjar.
Visit a Fish-Farm
See how they farm sea-trout. Visitors can see the fish in the cages, taste the salmon they produce, and take a boat trip around their beautiful archipelago that won’t soon be forgotten.
Sunnhordland Museum
Sunnhordland Museum is responsible for cultural dissemination in Sunnhordland region. The museum has several historical courtyards in the region, including The Halsnøy monastery.
Mountain hiking
A lively hike leads to the summit of Kattnakken, 724 meters above sea level, offering a breathtaking experience. On a clear day, hikers are treated to spectacular panoramic views of the landscape, making the climb well worth the effort.

An easy, short cycling / walking route that is perfect for families with young children. The gentle terrain and manageable distance make it an ideal choice for a relaxed outing, allowing parents and kids to enjoy the scenery.
Mining Museum
Join a guided tour into the mining history of Norway’s most exciting mines. The tours are suitable for adults and families with children above 3 years old.

Ådlandsvatnet beach
There are several beaches by the lake Ådlandsvatnet. Parkinglot for some cars. Around the lake, you will find a nice path suitable for walking and jogging.
Sauna
Now we can offer a wonderful experience in our beautiful sauna, right in the center of Lervik. We are located on the lake and have a capacity of 9 people. With us you can choose both private lessons, your own sauna for a group where you get the sauna for yourself – or drop-in / shared sauna with others.

We are Gaby and Roel, a Dutch-Austrian couple, proud owners of Stanleys Veikro. Welcome to our place, the ultimate destination for sandwich enthusiasts amidst the wonderful atmosphere at Skjersholmane ferry pier in Stord. In summer dayly from 10:00-19:00
Osternes Festning
…an exciting cultural monument from the days of war. Here you can explore old bunkers, fortifications and walls from World War II. Perfect for a short trip with the family or a historical flashback. Pictures and more information can be found on the Facebook page “Foreningen Osternes Festning”.
